Kennedy video on VH1 Classic [15 May 2005|08:55pm]

scratchtasia
The video for "Kennedy" was shown this morning on The Alternative, a program on the U.S. cable channel VH1 Classic. I think the exact same edition of the program is shown at night, so you should be able to catch it between 11:00 and 12:00 CST tonight.

Does anyone know how old David Gedge is? I'm going to guess 45, but I can't seem to find his birthdate anywhere online.

I just received a very beautiful gig setlist in the post from the kind people at Something and Nothing website. It's from the recent Northampton gig, where Gedge dedicated a song to me (Fliss). I am so chuffed.

It is pictured here, if you scroll down a little and look on the right:

Ecstatic is the word!

Hiya.
I went to see the wedding present in Glasgow about a week ago. Thought I'd share this info with you lot.
They were completely amazing, and as well as playing a lot of stuff off the fabulous 'Take Fountain'. They also played Kennedy and Dalliance and Dare (back to back of course)among other things.
I have to admit that I was right down the front at mr Gedge's feet screaming like a little girl, for the duration, and I got him to sign my ticket afterwards (and the setlist we stole) I'm not ordinarily such a raving schoolgirl at gigs (being that I'm twenty six and happily divorced) but David just does that to me....apparently. :/

pintele recently asked about favourite weddoes albums and songs.  I'm also interested in the least favourite.  So, what is your:

1.  Least favourite twp album.
2.  Least favourite twp song.

For me:

1.  Watusi
2.  Kennedy

Kind of a random question, but not really. Also, it's twofold.
1. Favorite Wedding Present album?
2. Favorite Wedding Present song?

What songs does everyone want to hear on this new tour, then? I could die happy if they played "Dare".

I'll be flying from Boston to attend ATP UK in February, and I fully plan on seeing the *other* big reunion that'll be happening at the time, The Wedding Present of course. However, I don't know which venue to pick from. They're playing these nearby dates:

pre-ATP:

02-22 Colchester, England - Arts Centre
02-23 Portsmouth, England - Wedgewood Rooms
02-24 Brighton, England - Concorde 2

and post-ATP:

02-28 Birmingham, England - Academy 2
03-01 Nottingham, England - Rescue Rooms
03-02 Newcastle, England - University

Is anyone here going to any of these shows? Can anyone who lives in, or nearby the UK (or has spent some time there) give me some opinions on any of these dates or venues? Expected quality of crowd and/or show? Proximity and ease of travel? Most fun?

Thanks very much in advance, and if I happen to see you at any of the shows I'll be sure to buy you a pint.
